The Role:

As a Product Designer, you will envision and create useful, usable, and delightful products for our users. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify user needs, test possibilities, iterate towards valuable and elegant user-centric solutions that satisfy and delight. You live and breathe design-thinking, and restlessly seek to understand and empathize with users and other stakeholders, reduce complex systems into simple contexts, align teams on a user-centric solution, test and improve, and share your knowledge with others.

What you'll be doing every day:

  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and other designers to explore, create, and ship your designs.
  • Identify user needs through qualitative and quantitative research methods including interviews and surveys and usability tests.
  • Ensure team alignment on user needs and simply complexities by mapping and sharing user insights (e.g., through empathy maps, journey maps, personas) Ideate with teams and visualize flows and interactions with user flows, task flows, wireframes, and lo/hi fidelity prototypes.
  • Validate solutions and test hypotheses by planning, conducting, and reporting results of usability tests.
  • Iterate based on user feedback, stakeholder feedback, and design critiques.
  • Ensure the design is communicated clearly and effectively to product development teams and implemented to match your design specification.
  • Influence, contribute to, and maintain our design system, design standards, research, and operational processes.
  • Champion a user-centered mindset in the organization and cultivate a culture of collaboration within and across teams.

Requisitos

What you bring to the table:

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/Product design.
  • BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, human computer interaction or a related field.
  • Passion for solving product problems while balancing all aspects of user experience (strategy, information, interaction design, etc.
  • A deep and broad understanding of the end-to-end iterative design process, including user research and testing, stakeholder alignment, information architecture, content, interaction design, design specification and communication.
  • Proficiency in interaction design across various devices and platforms (responsive design and mobile design experience) Proficiency in conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Experience collaborating closely with multiple disciplines, including product and engineering.
  • Experience with design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Miro, and Confluence.
  • A portfolio that reflects your design process and expertise in web and mobile; articulates problems, goals, and outcomes (for users and business); and shows evidence of research, testing and design iterations.
  • Excellent organizational, time and project management skills.
  • Compelling storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in an agile, start-up or scale-up environment.
